CULTURAL-SPORT EXCHANGE BETWEEN
SERBIA & JAPAN 2009
Under the patronage of the Embassy of Japan in Serbia, and cooperation of the Academic's Cultural-Art Society "Lola", the OKIKUKAI Serbia Hombu organized a manifestation: "CULTURAL-SPORT EXCHANGE BETWEEN SERBIA & JAPAN 2009" which was held at 10th May 2009 in Belgrade.
This event was opened by Ambassador of Japan in Serbia, HE Mr. Tsunozaki Toshio.
The goal of manifestation was presentation of the OKINAWA KARATE-DO Representatives of Serbia who will take participation in "THE 2009 WORLD OKINAWA KARATE-DO TOURNAMENT" on Okinawa at 14th to 16th August 2009.

The OKIKUKAI Sebia Hombu members demonstrated specialties of the UECHI-RYU system & KATA forms for "THE 2009 WORLD OKINAWA KARATE-DO TOURNAMENT" and performers of the society "Lola" demonstrated Serbian national traditional dances & songs.

BETWEEN SERBIA & JAPAN 2007
"THE CULTURAL EXCHANGE BETWEEN SERBIA & JAPAN" took place in Belgrade at 3rd October 2007. It was organized by the OKIKUKAI Serbia Hombu, University "Kolarac" in cooperation with Prof. Mrs. Nada Sekulic, Ph.D. (Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade), Mrs. Ksenija Spadijer Tufegdzic (lecture program editor of University "Kolarac") and Academic Cultural-Art Society "Lola".
This event consisted of two parts and both were opened by Ambassador of Japan in Serbia, HE Mr. Nagai Tadashi.
Lecture: "THE BUDO - JAPANESE TRADITIONAL AND NATIONAL CULTURE" in University 'Kolarac' was the first part of the event.

• Translation: Mr. Yamasaki Hiroshi, literate and translator.

The 2nd part of the event took place in solemn hall of the Academic Cultural-Art Society "Lola". The part of Okinawan culture was represented by all 14 members of delegation:

BETWEEN SERBIA & OKINAWA 2003
The manifestation "CULTURAL EXCHANGE BETWEEN SERBIA & OKINAWA" was hold in the Great Hall of Cultral-Art Society "Lola" in Belgrade. This event was opened by Ambassador of Japan in Serbia & Monte Negro, HE Mr. Tanabe Ryuichi.
It was attended by the Serbian Minister of Culture, Staff of Japanese Embassy, by public and cultural figures, and many other visitors.

The performers: The Okinawan Cultural Group, Academics Cultural-Art Society "Lola" & OKIKUKAI Serbia Hombu, demonstrated national dances and songs from Okinawa, from Serbia and KARATE-DO which was integrated into the programme throughout.

The Cultural Exchange was organised by: Okikukai Serbia Hombu Dojo & Cultural-Art Society "Lola" with help from the Friendship Society of Serbia & Montenegro and Japan.

A special advice and contribution towards organisation of the Cultural Exchange was provided by Mr Yamasaki Vukelic Hiroshi Lavov, Japanese writer and translator, living and working in Sebia, Belgrade.

Japanese Ambassador HE Mr. Tanabe Ryuichi hosted a reception for the Okinawa delegation and programme organisers at his residence.
