DEMONSTRATION OF JAPANESE MARTIAL ARTS
Belgrade, 10th December 2003

"ENBU-KAI • 2003"

On 10th Dec. 2003 a demonstration of Japanese Martial Arts (KENDO, KARATE-DO, JUDO) was held, as part of "DAYS OF JAPANESE CULTURE IN BELGRADE", in Sports Hall "Sumice". The event organised under auspicies of the Embassy of Japan in Serbia and Montenegro and Japanese Foundation was opened by Ambassador of Japan His Excellency Mr. Ryuichi Tanabe.

KENDO was presented by the guests from Japan: Arimitsu Masaki, Hanshi 8 Dan; Ito Harufumi, Hanshi 8 Dan; Komatsu Makoto, Kyoshi 8 Dan, Oda Katsuo, Kyoshi 8 Dan (IAIDO) and by members of the KENDO Association of Serbia & Monte Negro and KENDO Club "Royal" from Belgrade, lead by Zrnovic Nebojsa, 5 Dan.

KARATE-DO was presented through its original form of Okinawan UECHI-RYU style by the members of the OKIKUKAI Serbia Hombu, led by Popovic Vladimir, Shihan 5 Dan and Dimitrieski Milan, 4 Dan Jun-shihan. The most attractive parts of the programme were demonstrated through SANCHIN-KATA testing and TAMESHIWARI breaking techniques.

SEISAN DANTAI KATA

JUDO programme prepared by the Judo Association of Serbia was presented by members of the Police Club "Zandarmerija" led by sport director D.sc Miroljub Blagojevic, 6 Dan.

Japanese Ambassador HE Mr. Tanabe Ryuichi hosted a reception for guests from Japan and representatives of the OKIKUKAI Serbia Hombu and JUDO.
